Tomorrow I will be at TianAn Center at 8.30 am :( bläääääää
What I ate today:
4 shenjians, cold noodles with meat and miso soup at Aijer Ramen, 2 eggcakes, one icecream.
Ew... I'm superfull at the moment.

Changle Road

Today I went to my favourite street Changle Road, saw many nice things I wanted, but was a good girl. Just ended up with buying this dress. 280 rmb. Those shoes I had bought a week ago for a very good price, can you guess?
After the shopping I went to Simply Thai on Dongping Road/Hengshan Road to have dinner with friends, awesome resturant. The food is absolutely amazing!!! On Mondays they cut 50% off your bill. YAAAAAAY!!! But make sure to call them before and ask for this offer!!!

SHOPPING

I should definitely be more careful about my financial spending....I have 110 left til Saturday til I get my debit card, and that won't be enough concerning I'm going to this goodbye party tomorrow night.
Anyway, today I went to one of my favourite spots - Shaanxi Nan Road to shop, only came back with one purple dress as I didn't have money to buy the rest...the dress I will be wearing tomorrow at the party :)
Am considering to buy the skirt (400 rmb) and the shoes (400rmb) but still not sure.

Best place in Shanghai

The BEST place for girls and women here in Shanghai is not the spas, nor the clubs where they have ladies nights. I think it is Zhong Shan Park's metrostation. Go ahead to exit 4-6, you will be walking under a white tunnel, keep walking til you find lots of small shops. You will find really really nice shoes for under 100 rmb and some very fashionable clothes, you need to search! Also besides all these cool female clothing shops, there are also smoothie bars, dim sum bars, sushi bars, etc and for a very good price. I ordered a mango and carrot smoothie for 8 rmb, and you see them making it. And if you wanted manicure you can get that as well for a good price.
I actually don't want to tell you foreigners about this place because if you all go there, they will start rising the prices on there which they have already done a bit. Today I bought one starpatterned dress, a silver jumperdress (looks like stella mccartney) and a pair of black ballerinashoes, 200 rmb for everything!!! I cannot upload pics from my computer atm, but they will come later)

Today's outfit

I don't really deserve the title Shopgirl as I really don't shop much compared to some of my friends, and I really shouldn't write about fashion either as I'm not very fashionable either compared to some of my friends. I just wear whatever I like, I don't follow a style (chic, boho or whatever style it can be).
Anyhow I wore this today:
Neon green tanktop from Gina Tricot (Stockholm)
Cardigan from United Colours of Benetton (Milano)
Belt from Qipu Road (Shanghai)
Shiny black tights from Cheap Monday (Stockholm)
Socks (My stepdad's)
Today I went to RPM (indoor cycling - holy shit that was tiring!!!), Bodyjam and BtCore, after 3 hours at the gym I was starving, and it ended up with me having a rather healthy dinner consisting of salad and codfish, but after that I had LOTS of butter popcorn >_<  I just never learn.

I got that dress!!!!!!!

Remember this dress I have been talking about constantly? (actually it's not a dress, more like a top or tunic, so I have to wear tights under)
Well, I GOT IT!!!!!!! Of course they are all sold out now again...   ^_^

Do I look like ten in it? :P

Shopgirl's Diary

Remember the H&M dresses I was talking about last month? Well it has released now, the other two are all sold out, so now I hope I can at least find the yellow flowery dress in Shanghai's H&M. Anyhow, I tried oneof those hyped dresses out, but it didn't look good on me, way too big, the good sizes had been all sold out, while the smallest size was 40!!!
I bought a black Tshirt dress, and I'm considering to buy this blue spring-jacket, what do you think? Oh, and today I went to Louis Vuitton to check out their bags again, and I have decided, I think I'm going to buy the weekendbag and use it as a handbag...what do you guys think? I don't like the Speedy bag.

Shopping at H&M

Amazing, I bought this dress, I have been looking at it for such a long time but for some reason I just let it hang in the stores. I bought it, size 36, but now I'm even considering if I should switch to a size 34, because I thought it was a bit too big by the waist ^_^

The Marimekko collection for H&M is now available in all H&M stores! But all the good stuff are already gone, maybe it's not a big craze in Shanghai, so I might get some things there, the same with those dresses, they will be available from week 17 here in Sweden, but I know they will disappear on the same day they releases. I will try to get one though. Or I'll get one in Shanghai.

TOPSHOP will reach SH in 2008

YEEEEEES!!! You guys who have read my blog for a while know how much I love TOPSHOP!!! Even with no official announcement, but it's apparent that they are opening a TOPSHOP store in Superbrand Mall in Lujiazui some time soon this year.
According to the property management at Superbrand Mall their new client is TOPSHOP! Hah! Busted! They are also going to expand in the rest of China including Hong Kong.
Hopefully with all these high street fashion brands opening up in China, the people will also dress better ;) TOPSHOP's shoes are to die for! But skip Kate Moss' collection for this chain, it's extremely overrated. I went there today and looked at the clothes, not impressive at all.

I'm getting addicted to dresses....

I bought this dress the other day for only 149 sek (= 150 rmb) and this was in Sweden! Some times I wonder if all clothes in Shanghai are over-priced?

Soon the H&M cooperation with finish designer Marimekko will be out in stores on the 10th April!! Can't wait! Oh....in 10 days I will receive my salary ^_^

I want I want I want

Om My God, just read from the blog hotspot that H&M will be having those dresses out in store in those coming weeks!!!!!!!!

I Like, I Want, I Need them!!!!

I think I will buy the one in the middle. Cutest of the cute!!! I'm ready to fight for them. I know they will sell like butter in the sun here in Sweden, not sure about how popular it will be for the Chinese market.

American Apparel opening in SHANGHAI!!!!!

The overhyped brand American Apparel is finally opening up stores in China, the stores will open up in Beijing, lovely Shanghai and Suzhou.
I got a press email from the company today in my inbox, so it's a safe source!
I love their tight tshirt-dresses, but I think their clothes are pretty expensive. They are just made of either organic cotton or jersey!!! And they are that expensive...but then again, it's American Apparell. It's a cool brand that has a nice "image". I'm not sure about where in SH they will open up the store, I will try to find out, and tell you guys!
Their collection is mostly the same throughout the years, they focus on simple designed clothes in many different colours.

The other day a colleague of mine got yelled at by Ericsson's CEO....because we tried to make him come to one of our financial consultuncy meetings.....and he wanted us to personally write him an email to apologize..ROFL, who does he think he is??????

WARNING: This is a shallow thread

Today a friend of mine and I went to Louis Vuitton to check out the bags, it was my first time going into that store in Stockholm, and first of all, I just want to say that it is EXTREMELY niiiiiiiice that there's no follow John who is after you every single step you take in the store (compared to shanghai). Another observation I made was that the majority of people in the store were Asians, Hah!! Pretty surprising huh? (not)
Ok, so I'm in doubt. Since I got my new job my financial situation is a bit too good to be true ^_^ and I feel like I would like to own a designer bag. A Speedy bag from Louis Vuitton is nice and classic, and it doesn't cost "much" 4100 kr here in Sweden which is about 4300 rmb in China, and a Speedy in China is about 6500 rmb, which is sick!!! They have no idea about PPP obviously.
After visiting Louis Vuitton we went to Gucci, nice to experience no follow John in this store either! Anyhow, Gucci has a bag that looks a bit like Speedy but with their logo, the bag is nice, and cost about the same as the Speedy bag. I don't know if I want Gucci or LV....
I always thought I would never buy a logo bag from LV or Gucci because those bags have been copied so many times, but now I'm in second thoughts.....or should I add 3000kr and buy a Mulberry Bayswater?

Inspiration: China

I remember this summer in Shanghai I had this conversation with a Swedish guy about the styles of Chinese girls. When he told me that he thought the styles of Chinese girls on the street of Shanghai would be an inspiration source to the West I didn't take him seriously. I was thinking God, you have to be kidding me? 90% of the street fashion here in Shanghai is actually horrible.
But I was so wrong! I realize now just after a half year how wrong I was. I have never seen so many things here in Sweden that resembles of what I have seen in the small shops for girls in Shanghai.
Flounces are appearing everywhere here, so are the other small girly details on clothes. Before us Swedes only wore colours like dark blue, grey, black, even if those colours still dominate we are starting to wear more eye-popping clothes. Neon colours has never been more trendy, neither has those cute accessories that really appears everywhere.
I would like to think that this is a result from China's influence. :-)

The day I got Marc Jacobs in my arms

I have no job, I have no income, I'm a poor student and I got those shoes today at sale in Stockholm.

Just let me tell you that I won't really shop for a while. I got those shoes in grey colour.  I   l-o-v-e   to just look at them. They are my new darlings.

The heel is 7,5 cm which is not high at all, I can wear them both during day and night.

FYI, this was such an impuls-buy, I'm definitely a spontaneous shopper, which in all cases isn't a good thing.

But I just love them...
Since my first year of high school I loved the line Marc by Marc Jacobs. although I have to admit that he is  a bit overrated at times.

Oh Snap!

Pictures from FashionTrendDigest

My personal favourite is that oversized grey knited vest.

I also like that black and white dress with a big bow in the middle (although I wished it could be made out of a better material).

That blue dress kind of looks slutty, really not my cup of tea. Well I wouldn't walk with it during the day!

All those pictures are from Huaihai Road in Shanghai.

Gucci creates line for Beijing Olympics

With just 8 months left (I will be in Beijing at that time) Gucci has created a limited edition collection for the Beijing Olympics. No other designer brand has done that with other Olympic games! I really hope this Olympic games will become a successful one and gain special attention from people all over the world. Olympic Games in China for the first time! This is EXCITING!
Separate from any official celebration or sponsor, Frida Giannini has created a special collection called 8-8-2008 Limited Edition that encompasses eight exclusive accessories with a sporty bent. The collection will only be available in Gucci stores in China and Hongkong (except the watches which will be sold worldwide). From the US$3150 set of Gucci mahjong to the US$3420 Gucci bicycle, Gucci has almost successfully captured the essence of Chinese culture. The only qualm I have is that almost everything is only in one colour which is called the China Red.
I really like that red bike!!! But the stuffed panda toy is creeping me out. The sneakers look good but I still prefer white Lacoste ones. I'm also quite disappointed with this watch, it costs 1415 USD.... I wouldn't mind that red oversized bag and that guy in the campaign! What do you think of the collection?

Marks and Spencer opening in Shanghai!!!

After H&M and C&A's store openings in SH, another big retailer is entering the Mainland China market; Mark and Spencers, I know all the British expats will jump of joy, but god, Mark and Spencer??????? Their clothes are horrible, well at least 4 years ago they were horrible.

According to their website they say that their Values are Quality, service, innovation and trust. INNOVATION MY ASS!!!

Well, at least I'm smiling for their brits, heard their underwear can be nice though.
They are right now in a planning period, the store will open before summer 2008. Means I will have to go in there and check it out, probably not the clothes but the guys.

"Marks & Spencer, one of the most widely recognized chain stores in the U.K., plans to open its first store in China, despite a slow sales growth (WHAT A SUPRISE!!!!!!)

The British retailer will set aside £1.1 billion for global growth, with its major push into China and India next year, according to its latest statement. Leveraging on the existing markets in Hong Kong and Taiwan, the company will enter China with its wholly-owned stores. In addition, its first store in the country is expected to open by the end of March 2009, probably located in Shanghai.

China now is standing in front of the new scratch line and attracting a growing number of foreign investors. Besides, Chinese consumers are becoming more discerning, and pursuing branded suppliers with fantastic value. (YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY WITH M&S)

Economists suggest that investors should devise an ideal market entry strategy and execution plan before they can succeed in this huge potential market. (PFFFFTTT!!!!!)

Simply amazing

I'm totally in love! Just saw the pictures from the ShanghaiTang's 07 Spring campaign (I know I'm late) , but just had to post the pictures because they are absolutely breathtaking. I wonder who the photographer is, it is simply amazing, how he matches the colours and light. He really grabs the today's Chinese culture in one photo. I think some of the photos are absolutely breathtaking
I think the photographer really captures the buzz and the peace of this fascinating city in one shot, and having this absolutely beautiful model in it just make the photos even more gorgeous!!! Now this is what I call real beauty. WOW! Two thumbs up!

BAD attention

Gong Li is so pretty, but in this Roberto Cavalli dress she just look slutty, look where the lines lead to on her body. NO NO NO!!!

Speaking of which, Roberto Cavalli for H&M is out in late November, not sure if I will quie for that, most of his collection contains long New Year's Eve kind of dresses. This will be the only day when you see Swedes acting non-Swedish, they run into the store and take whatever they can get and if they can't they try to steal from others. I'm serious, the newspapers even talked about how crazy it was.

But MAAAAAAN, Imagine the craze outside the H&M on Huaihai Road!!!!!! Make some police men to go there so no one gets hurt, I'm seriously worried.

Ziyi Zhang

The black and white dress is seriously ugly and the sunglasses doesn't fit Ms. Ziyi Zhang.
Her best outfit was the lime dress she wore at the Golden Globe Awards. Even Swedish bloggers were talking about how successful her dress was, and she isn't very famous here in Scandinavia.

Vanity Fair has taken some really really stunning photos of Ziyi

Best shop: I.T

There is no cooler stores than I.T !!!!!!! The store concept is coming from Hongkong, there are three I.T shops in Shanghai, one in Cloud 9, one in Plaza66 and one in Xintiandi. The one in Xintiandi is the BEST one. When you walk in, the interior of the store is AMAZING. There are two floors and the second floor is biggest for womens wear. Their shoe lounge is amazing, I just want to cry, they had Jill Stuart, Jimmy Choo, miu miu, Marc Jacobs shoes. And they were all beautiful, you could see that they only selected the BEST shoes to be there.

Besides the shoes you could also find brands such as Costume National, D&G, Martin Margiela, See by Chloe, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, Tsumori Chisato and much more.

The only annoying thing is that the staff follows you, but they do that in every single upscale store. Btw, you haven't missed the news that Stella McCartney has opened up a flagship store in Plaza66?? I think it's so cool that their management decided to open it up in Shanghai! They don't even have SC flagship store in Tokyo!

I shopped again

I promised myself to NOT shop anymore clothes this month as I have spent waaaaaay too much money in Shanghai.
But I just couldn't resist when it's 90% off SALE here in Stockholm

This dress from Acne (one of my favourite brands) cost over 1000 rmb (SEK) before and I bought it for 100!!!!!!! That is insane!!!!!!! You would never find those deals in Shanghai!

Seriously, I think some Shanghainese women should come to Stockholm in the middle of July and just shop, because the sales here are much better than Shanghai!

Cool Stores in Shanghai

Fumin Road: there is a herb shop there with imported herbs such as cinnamon, cumin, etc. EVERYTHING

Fumin Road: there is a shop there only selling stuff with Mao ZheDong, I happened to go in there when I was wearing my Mao Tshirt and they seriously thought that I was going to buy another one for 180rmb when I can get one for 20rmb in Science and Tech Market! HA!

Changle Road (near Fumin Road): there are two shops selling lots of toys from the movie Transformers, also there are two shops selling skate clothes. Really nice Tshirts and hoodies from Billabong and other brands (very good price as well). I like!!!

Julu Road (opposite that orange service apartment I used to live in for 6 years ago): there is this clothing shop selling real brand clothes from current collection(French connection, bebe, etc.) for a good price, the seller seems desperate to sell so you will get good deals. I didn't end up buying a beige top (tunic) from bebe (could have got it for 160kuai), maybe it's still there. It's really nice.

Shaanxi Nan Road (near Julu Road): if you want to buy real nice quality leather bags that look exactly like the real Chloe bags, then go here. 700kuai for one of these bags is required...

Fashion show on the Great Wall

How cool is that????????????

The Great Wall of China is one of the most anticipated fashion hot spots this fall. Karl Lagerfeld's creations will be strutting down the wall in a fashion show. It will be the first time the Wall is used for a runway show. Karl maintains that it s just another show, but the hype is outstanding.

Is this another topic alike to "Starbucks in Forbidden City"......

Poor now

Wow, I don't think I have ever spent so much money in my whole life!
My cousin from France is here so we have been shopping nonstop for 3 days.
First day we went to Science and Technology Market and shopped for 6 hours, next day we went to the market outside Yuyuan (I bought a communist bag!!!) and then today, we went to Zhongshan Park's metro where they have tons of good stuff for a really good price.

I bought lots of Hello Kitty stuff, Mao Tshirt, Clothes, a real leatherbag (look like real vintage mulberry), a Samsonite (fake) hand luggage for 180...

My whole livingroom is full of bags, it looks like Im going to open a shop or something.

Don't pay more than 60rmb for a pair of Converse shoes.
Don't pay more than 100rmb for a pair of brand jeans.

I love Changle Road

I have found MY shopping place. I'm totally in love. It is the best place in Shanghai. Never have I found soooo many nice clothes for a reasonable price............on Changle Road.

I see good copies and imitations of clothes from the runway. I bought so much. I bought a dress that looked it came straight away from Marni catwalk, I bought a real PAGEBOY dress, I bought a really nice tunic with this really cool belt on. I can't wait to wear it!!!

One store that I really liked was on ChangLe Road 133 (close to Chengdu Nan Road), if you are by Isetan on Huaihai Road it is very close to this shop. This store had clothes originally from IT (the chain store with brand clothes). The sales person (Emma) was really nice, cute and helpful. I just HAVE TO go back and shop there.

This is how I would like to look during Summer 07.
Just need to lose 3 stones first ;)
