Today is very windy, at least in downtown area. I was gonig to Wujiang Road to have lunch and then on my way back to the office and a huge wind is taking over me, I'm wearing the blue floral dress from Qipu Road and I flash myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So embarassing, and there were people around looking, and even a couple of laowais opposite the fake market were giving me embarassing smiles!!!!

By the way, these past 5 days I have been eating til I'm 120% full, I feel disgusted!!! Today party, tomorrow party (all leaving parties).

This is China - card:
Doesn't it makes you pissed off? My aunt who I live with now shouldn't be so typical Chinese as she has travelled around the world soooooooooo much, she has basically been everywhere because of business trips, but still she's extremely chinese. Once she told me that I had to bring the umbrella as it is so sunny outside, I don't do that, I don't like people who do that either, so I said no, and then she keeps on telling me I should bring the umbrella and my spontaneous reaction to that was: Gosh no, that is such a Chinese thing to do. And she asks, so you are not Chinese? You're in China now. This is China!!!
And I'm not only talking about umbrellas in the sunshine now, I'm talking about dressing sense, my appeal for which kind of food I like, basically my whole lifestyle. I think my relatives' dream is that I will just change my whole lifestyle. YAY! My opinion to that? XXXX XXX!!!

Umbrella - card:
It won't make you cool off, and it won't really make you more tan (all girls here want to be white)as you will still be exploited to the sun. So there is NO point in using umbrellas when it's sunny!!! Today going to work, there were about 30 people in one group waiting to cross the street, there were at least dozens of umbrellas before me poking my forehead!! Now that get me pissed off!!!

Metro - card:
Really, just avoid going to the metrostation on Mondays at around 8.15 am, it will kill you. ESPECIALLY by People's Square metrostation, if you want to play rugby when you step off the train then stop at People's Square!!!

Sassy Saturday, Sleepy Sunday

Yesterday I spent my day at the hair salon, had dinner at SUBWAY (yummy!!!), met up with a friend, our initial plan was to check out MAO, but there were hardly no people there, so we also checked out those bars around such as Abbey Road (Danish party last night? I bet), etc. Ended up eating pizza at Sasha's. After that we went to M2 in Plaza66, great music but too many people and extremely smokey, so we decided to check out Lounge18 (the BEST place on the Bund). There we tried our pick up lines (we live in 21th century, of course us girls can do pick up lines as well), and WOW, it does work!!! I won' tell you the line though ;)

Today with NO makeup at all (let the skin relax a bit) I went shopping and now im going to spend time with my cousin. I bought a pair of jeans, a pair of shoes, and some things from Watson. I love Watson, they have EVERYTHING for a girl and they are all packed in supercute packages!!! Just look at my new wet tissues :) They even got Hello Kitty sanitary towels for women!!! It doesn't get cuter than this! Will buy lots of things from Watson back to Sweden! There's a 5 years old girl licing inside me :)

Last Night

I went to the gym in Jinmao and when I'm in my bodycombat class the HOT personal trainer checks out the class and we get several eyecontacts, my knees get weak!!! When I was finished with gym I walked past him on the stairs and all I could do was give him a polite smile.gaaaaaaaaah. If you haven't taken a walk from Jinmao Building to Oriental Pearl Tower I suggest you to do so. It's so beautiful, you are surrounded by world's highest skyscrapers and you walk there and see the lights. It's an amazing view and you feel so small suddenly.

After gym went to preparty, then Sugar, Velvet Lounge (free drinks!!!) and at last Partyworld (karaoke) - my throat hurts a bit. Came home at 6 o'clock.
Today it's a new launch party for LAN, so we'll see what we will be up to tonight. Pictures will come

My friend knows a friend who works at Schwarzkopf hair salon in Shanghai, and now they are searching for hair models, so I can dye my hair for free! Schwarzkopf sounds very professional and I would like to do a change with my hair. I have never dyed my hair before so it would be fun to do it once in my lifetime, right? I'm considering brown highlights. I'm supernervous, think I will do it today after work. Promise to post pics after haha :)

OK, tomorrow saturday I'm going to dye my hair at 4pm!!!!!!!! Last day with black hair, haha
Well, if it really looks bad I can just dye it back to black.

I'm in such a PARTY MOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonight AND tomorrow will be friggin awesome!

I don't know what to write about in my blog...
other than I really need to go to the gym today after work in Jinmao building, and I have no idea of what's happening tonight. It's a depressing Friday for me. Someone please cheer me up. I want to talk to my friends online, but my company has blocked msn ( cannot even access web messenger) AND youtube :(
Give some ideas of what you want me to write about!
(I have realized the Shanghai metro is getting better and better, now people actually line up on the side and make the people in the train go out first!!! AMAZING!!! I'm so happy I get off People's Square because it is not fun to be in the train when you reach there, also the metrostation is FULL of people at peak hours! Will take a picture and show you, it's unbelievable.

I do the same thing over and over again. Today is my third day, hope I will learn something new......
What surprises me with this place is that there is no proper office wear code. First day I even saw a girl who wore a dress that looked like a pyjama!!! I like that they are not so strict about dress code as I don't like to wear shirts and long pants (especially when it's summer in Shanghai). What's funny is that the foreigners in our company all dress well and are more strictly dressed than the local girls (local men still follows the code quite strictly.) Another fun thing is that the group leader sitting next to me talks in Shanghainese with a collague about me when I'm just sitting next to her, I think she believes I cannot speak Shanghainese...but anyway, yesterday a guy also spoke to a girl in mandarin about me when I was just opposite him, why not just ask me directly?
This morning I got to People's Square very early so I decided to visit People's Park. It is absolutly beautiful!!! Walk towards Barbarossa and there are old men fishing by the small lake. The lake is totally green but still it gives a good reflection of the environment. It was such a beautiful view!!! I didn't bring my camera today but tomorrow I will definitely be there and take some pictures to show you. Although the pictures won't show its real beauty.

In this HUGE company and don't know anyone, it is hard but I'm trying to put up with it. Have no computer even...so can't go online during work time which sucks, because there are some times I don't have things to do...

Work in Tian An Center on Nanjing Xi Road close to Peoples Park, opposite JW Mariott and Barbarossa. It's a nice building for sure!

Today I also went with the motorcycle taxi together with a friend, it was SO much fun!!! You have to try it out! I even filmed my experience, and put it on youtube.

Yesterday after the gym my cousin's wife was still working, so she gave me a guided tour of her office! The whole floor in Jinmao building is just dedicated to the lawfirm Baker & McKenzie, anyway it was a very nice office with a fantastic view! (trying to upload pics, but doesnt work yet, they will come soon).

Today I went to Cloud9 Mall and had dinner at a Korean restaurant together with my cousin. I feel pregnant :(

It ended up with me going to C's for a quick drink with a new friend I randomly met while I was stealing wifii on first floor of my apartmentbuilding, after C's I went to some Swedish houseparty, then later we all went som Aussie and Irish houseparty, I remember I was so rude there (tend to get like that when I have drunk too much), I remember there was this really hairy guy and I told him to get a wax, haha. And we had a long conversation about men and their masculinity....hmmm
After that houseparty we went to Bund 18 (I seriously start to hate Bar Rouge with passion), met friends from previous parties among them a french guy who wants to and marry me in LasVegas today, I got bored, so another friend came and we started to play the game "Let's guess who is Swedish"...hmm and after that we went to City Diner. Over ~~~~~

I will be honest, I'm not very interested in Asian guys, some are cute but they are just not for me, they are somehow so childish and cutie cute, I like more masculine guys, I kind of like bad boys...anyway, I want to say there's an exception. There's a guy at my gym, he works here which makes me want to go to Will's Gym in Jinmao building even more often. He is the most goodlooking Chinese guy I have ever seen, I know he is Shanghainese. His body...Oh My God, his face...really good as well, his teeth......so so

anyway, he helped me with the weights today for 2 seconds.... and he looks at me sometimes =)
and today when I was doing situps he comes to the machine just next to me when there are other free machines, also there is a machine by the weights area, but he came to the one next to me, gotta be a sign right? ;)
Sometimes he comes to this juice bar in the entry of the gym and after he orders a drink the girls look at him and start to giggle. He's FIT!!!!

I'm at home on Friday, which is actually nice...(sometimes it's nice to take a break).

So I went to the Xinjiang restaurant to order food and now I'm way too full, I feel sick. It was that Xinjiang restaurant who has this person who works there who paid my restaurantbill a couple of days ago, this time he did not pay for my bill, but he did slip me a note with his cellphone number together with the receipt, sneaky. When I was going to leave the resturant he said, if you have time, call me.

Typically Chinese thing to do, now the company that I was planned to intern for is taking me back.....so I will still be working inside Tian An Center start 1st July........ and I need to be there before 8.30 am Monday til Friday....that is what I call torture!

Last night I went to Bloc Party at Volar (free champagne), Laris (too many people but best lychee martinis ever) and then De La Coast (where I met a blog-reader who was such a cutie).
Outside De La Coast we randomly met some Swedes and headed together to Attica, 5 minutes in Attica and I grabbed a taxi home, outside my apartment they sold Lamb meats on stick, of course I grabbed some. Photo: The Taiwanese noodle I ate earlier before heading out, outfit for the night.

My Day

So today I hung out with my lovely cousin, we went to Dairy Queen in Infiniti mall, then grabbed a cab to Changle Road to eat Be For Time Dim Sum (I'm not going to eat for the whole day now), then shopped on Changle Road (came home with NO bags), then went to Yongqi to get a hairwash and massage :) I think I will go to Vue Bar in Hyatt Bund to grab a drink with some Swedes, then go to Malones, and then some of my other Swedish friends plan to party (although I shouldn't, but whatever I'm in Shanghai, I'm allowed to have fun).

I promised NOT to drink!!!!!!!!! I'm really tipsy, had the best lychee martini ever at room twenty eight. and some other hmmmmm drinks there.

Was celebrating that I got my internship at my old place, agreed to work there but now I'm secretly in doubts. I start 8.30 and have to be in Tian An Center at that time!!! How strenuous is that!?!?!?!?

UPDATE: This is CRAZY, I went out for dinner, and while I sat there and I have totally forgot what came out of my mouth but somehow it ended up that the restaurant owner next to the one I ate at PAID FOR MY BILL!!!!!!! How CRAZY is that???? Ok, It was a 20 rmb bill, but still!!!!!!!!

Today I went to my favourite street Changle Road, saw many nice things I wanted, but was a good girl. Just ended up with buying this dress. 280 rmb. Those shoes I had bought a week ago for a very good price, can you guess?

After the shopping I went to Simply Thai on Dongping Road/Hengshan Road to have dinner with friends, awesome resturant. The food is absolutely amazing!!! On Mondays they cut 50% off your bill. YAAAAAAY!!! But make sure to call them before and ask for this offer!!!
