Beach 2008

I have lost 2kg's pure fat since a month ago.....which is NOT enough!
But, I feel better and more confident so I think I deserve to buy myself a pair of new Nike running shoes!!! AND I also deserve a new handbag, because I just became this month's best seller and got a fat paycheck! I think I might buy that big weekend bag from Louis Vuitton.....or should I buy the Mulberry? Or a Chloe? Or a miumiu?? Gaaaah, today's industrycountry problem :S
You have to reward yourself regurlarly if you're want to reach higher levels, that's my philosophy!
Anyhow, on Wednesday we will have a corridor dinner, we are making our country's typical food, as the hybrid I am, I have decided to make Chinese fried noodles AND Swedish strawberry fromage. Bon Appetit!
I better work out for at least 2 hours concerning the food I will inhale on Wednesday...
Oh and talking about my mood since I started to work out, I've become much more happy, today when I was waiting for the bus (yes, I'm still a lazy bastard) the song "Shapeshifters- A New Day" appeared in my iPod and I just couldn't help it, I was jumping around to the music and moved my feet to the beat, and at that moment I just realized it was my first time feeling - I don't care what people think of what kind of freak I am.

I'm going to watch Heartbreak kid later tonight and have a cup of tea
Mmmmmmm, by the way, in about 2 months I will be in Shanghai, how is it possible that time pass this fast?

When a door close, a window opens

There have been so many articles out there talking about Chinas rapid economic boom, but focusing on the negative sides of this economic boom, on how China's cheap labour is affecting unemployment in Europe, USA and even Mexico.
But I would rather turn that around, when cheap labour is competing out the labour in the west, the west should be focusing on business related to service. China's strong point is their labour resources, and not their service skill.
Anyhow, what I wanted to mention is that. China is basically saving the global world because of it's rapid economic growth (yes I might be a bit provocative now, but still, read on...)
I just found out China bought 10% of Morgan Stanley!!!! It has been known that MS have had a tough time these last 5 years. Besides this China is helping the US from diving down another step in their financial crisis by buying LOTS of their treasuries and parts of some big financial organisations, etc.
And China is investing billions into some countries in Africa (please stay focused on the business and not the political sides). Also thanks to China the raw material in Latin America has risen a lot which helps its economy to rise. In Australia there have been more work opportunities within the coal mine industry as China starves after coal from OZ.
I'm just so impressed with this nation, in just so short time this nation has transformed from a country with no significance to the key country that is affecting the whole world in so many ways. It's absolutely amazing!
China has the biggest currency reserve in the whole world at the moment. Also, China has now overpassed Germany's economy!!!
So the point with this thread is that I understand some people have been mad of this economic boom leading to prices on oil and maybe some raw materials rising quite a lot, but imagine all the good things that has comed with China's economy.
We are still looking at this in a short perspective, it's natural that there are unbalanced things in Chinas economy like this inflation problem, but imagine in 15 years when everything has adapted with eachother.........
oh god, I can't even imagine what a "dream" place this place can become to?? (NOT considerate the environment issue, hehe)

I don't like the vibe in the VIP

You should not watch this video if you're under 16!!! Anyhow, either I will miss being young and free or just be happy and reliefed not being young after 10 years. But damn, this song is delicious by Electrovamp. I cut my hair today and looks exactly like one of the singer's hair. I really like it.

One in a million

WOW, I'm really surprised. I'm this month's second best seller. As you know I work for a financial consultancy firm in downtown Stockholm, so my duty is to book wealthy private persons to our meetings in our head office. Besides a regular salary we also get commission, and let's just say that I'm really looking for my paycheck! The guy who sold the most has lots of experience so I do consider myself best at my level as a newbie in the company.
I read an interesting article in Metro some months ago about an immigrant boy in Sweden doing telemarketing and he said, when he changed his foreign name to a typical Swedish name in the phone he started to sell much more products. I actually use my real name in the phone (and it's a Chinese name) and sell more than Swedes so I'm very proud. Imagine if I suddenly started to call myself Sophia, I wonder how many I would be able to book?
I read in a survey that three to four out of ten immigrants feel they are being discriminated at work here in Sweden because of their race and that is something I feel really strong about. What about you, what is your opinion on this? Would love to hear some comments about this.

I just found another blog in the blogosphere, the blog's name is Blondinbella (a Swedish blog, so unfortunately my international blogreaders can't understand it), anyhow she has about 25000 readers everyday which is INSANE!!! She's a 17 years old blond girl who's still in highschool, mostly she writes about clothes and makeup but sometimes also about politics. Her blog is also her own company as she gets a lot of money from advertisers and sponsors.
I was reading her blog today briefly and yes I agree, some of her posts are extremely silly and may show some glimpse of stupidity, that is also why she gets about 180 comments on each blog entry. About 90% of those comments are comments that tries to insult or humiliate her. I honestly don't understand how she can put up with it.
Even when she is talking about serious matter which doesn't relate to fashion people are writing to her such things as, "keep your posts about the make up store, you stupid bitch".

I believe most people are so ignorant. Why can't some people accept the fact that a young girl who loves shopping and partying can also possibly be a bright young lady?

I don't believe that I have to talk about philosophy, art or literature in order to be accepted as being deep or smart.
When my blog was more popular I got lots of comments from people trying to insult me because of the things I wrote. I tried to blame it saying that what I wrote on this blog didn't really represent me, but heck. I take that back now! This blog does represent me! Although you should note that I have exaggerated many times but that's what I do, it's part of my personality that I always exaggerate my feelings or my actions or whatever. I don't need to justify my quotes or opinion on this blog. I am narcisstic, and that is one part of my personality being insecure, but that's also why I'm out there constantly searching for approval in everything I do. I personally prefer that rather than being totally clueless about the new generation and who belongs in the big mass that insult us for being what in our definition would call successful.
It's Spring, YAY!!!

Wishlist from Shanghai

Mother Shopgirl (although she hates to shop) is going to Shanghai in a couple of weeks for a month to attend my cousin's wedding at Sheraton hotel. It's time for me to write my very important list; Things she should bring back to mini Shopgirl.
So what do I want from China that she can bring back for me, clothes and accessories is out of the list because my mum has no taste (it's true) and I'm going to China a month later when she comes back. So the only things I can think of is food, small things, etc. Will publish my list on my blog so I can come back and add things and such.
- Fast Noodles
- A copy of Chinese edition of VOGUE
- Sesame oil
- (maybe) the Shanghaied Iphone
- Some pairs of shoes that I left in China
- Stockings (black see through ones)
- Mao Tshirt (love to sleep in a big Mao-tshirt)

I'm going home for Easter, hopefully I won't gain weight at home but will probably do, so have to go to the gym as often as possible these coming days.

I'm getting addicted to dresses....

I bought this dress the other day for only 149 sek (= 150 rmb) and this was in Sweden! Some times I wonder if all clothes in Shanghai are over-priced?

Soon the H&M cooperation with finish designer Marimekko will be out in stores on the 10th April!! Can't wait! Oh....in 10 days I will receive my salary ^_^

I Like, I Want, I Need them!!!!

I think I will buy the one in the middle. Cutest of the cute!!! I'm ready to fight for them. I know they will sell like butter in the sun here in Sweden, not sure about how popular it will be for the Chinese market.

American Apparel opening in SHANGHAI!!!!!

The overhyped brand American Apparel is finally opening up stores in China, the stores will open up in Beijing, lovely Shanghai and Suzhou.
I got a press email from the company today in my inbox, so it's a safe source!
I love their tight tshirt-dresses, but I think their clothes are pretty expensive. They are just made of either organic cotton or jersey!!! And they are that expensive...but then again, it's American Apparell. It's a cool brand that has a nice "image". I'm not sure about where in SH they will open up the store, I will try to find out, and tell you guys!
Their collection is mostly the same throughout the years, they focus on simple designed clothes in many different colours.

WARNING: This is a shallow thread

Today a friend of mine and I went to Louis Vuitton to check out the bags, it was my first time going into that store in Stockholm, and first of all, I just want to say that it is EXTREMELY niiiiiiiice that there's no follow John who is after you every single step you take in the store (compared to shanghai). Another observation I made was that the majority of people in the store were Asians, Hah!! Pretty surprising huh? (not)
Ok, so I'm in doubt. Since I got my new job my financial situation is a bit too good to be true ^_^ and I feel like I would like to own a designer bag. A Speedy bag from Louis Vuitton is nice and classic, and it doesn't cost "much" 4100 kr here in Sweden which is about 4300 rmb in China, and a Speedy in China is about 6500 rmb, which is sick!!! They have no idea about PPP obviously.
After visiting Louis Vuitton we went to Gucci, nice to experience no follow John in this store either! Anyhow, Gucci has a bag that looks a bit like Speedy but with their logo, the bag is nice, and cost about the same as the Speedy bag. I don't know if I want Gucci or LV....
I always thought I would never buy a logo bag from LV or Gucci because those bags have been copied so many times, but now I'm in second thoughts.....or should I add 3000kr and buy a Mulberry Bayswater?

Remember this website's URL, it is NOT www.siyansblog.blogspot.com

I will suffer from working out pain tomorrow, I went to an one hour body pump class and oh my god how strenuous it was. And after that my leg hurt so bad but I was still in the bodyjam class for an hour. I feel damn proud. I should also note that I had been running, cycling and walking before the bodypump class.

Yesterday I also went to the gym! Feeling the motivation!! Summer 08!!!  Wohooo

But I'm still without an internship >_<  Hopefully my cousin can help me out
