If you miss Shanghai you should read this book, My Favourite Wife by Tony Parsons
I read it in one day, and missed a couple of subway stations during reading it. I would not say the book itself is excellent, but it's enjoyable. And also a great way to find out what's really going on in this fantastic city. As girls in Shanghai we are not able to experience some things that guy experience in clubs, etc. I have some guy friends who told me stories about prostitution that is going on in clubs and I cannot believe it, but we all know it is true.
Also, there's one sentence I remember from this book and is when the wife says " it's the city, it brings out the worst of people."
And I can fully agree, Shanghai is not a good place to live after marriage.

SH is great, but too tempting sometimes:) Maybe it`s not good to live there after marriage :))))
As for prostitutes, I saw a lot in Bar Rouge for example:) One girl came very close to my friend photographer and said : "It`s 1000RMB and make whatever you want with me"... We were shocked )

Nonsense. You guys are too young or not well traveled, the truth its the same everywhere, especially if you are "different" like expats here. Ask any black guy in Sweden how easy and tempting it is there...

I have to agree. I've been to 8 different countries, and there are prostitutes coming on to foriegners everywhere. There are just differences in how subtle (or rather lack thereof) there is in any given place.

1000rmb! That really is outrageous. I never pay more than 100 rmb!

hehehehe :)) WoAi, that prostitute in Bar Rouge I told about was 10 times bigger than yours. Maybe that is why price was extremely high:))))

really cute outfit siyan but seriously im a big fan of those kind of retro glasses but those ones in particular are not the most flattering. you should try and find some nicer ones imo.

ps. how come you never wear your hair in a bun? i love to and i think it would look really cute on you. if you do it in a messy bun it looks more casual. or even a low bun slightly to one side.
