Most Meaningless Job?
Seriously, China's most meaningless job must be those "guards" who opens the entry door for you when you get into a building.They just stand there and open the door start 7 am til late evening...now maybe you can understand why young Chinese students are studying so hard everyday.

hmm i would have to say those people in elevators pressing the floors for you. Imagine sitting there all day doing that.
It's more the neccessity of employment that require these meaningless jobs.
But in saying this , those guards/door openers aren't that meaningless; we have the luxury of someone opening a door for us

hey everyone needs to earn money. even if it means doing jobs that seem worthless to you.
you must be pretty spoiled to say such a thing.
Of course everyone needs to earn money, if not the society would collapse. I'm just saying this job to open doors or sit in an elevator pressing the floors are totally unnecessary...
It's a bit of waste of resources but at the same time not. Which is quite interesting.
Could you please post a topless photo of yourself. You would be guaranteed to get maximum hits on your site if you did that. And you would make me happy.
LOL - well, obviously our significant others aren't doing their chivalrous duty of opening doors for us so it's nice China is paying people to do that.

Siyan is definately spoilt and self centered but there are many young female bloggers a lot worse. (Check out some of those Sinaporean airheads.) Siyan does have a more human side to her than them.
Just think, who else is going to hold open those doors for you 3 in the morning while you are high off you ass and drunk off the shit?
Happened to me plenty of times, 3 or 4 in the morning and I be going up to my apartment and dude comes out of no where and opens the damn door for me. So I'm like.. holy shit man, it's 3 in the morning dude, wtf are you doing man.

Gosh, you guys are overreacting. I do think doorguard has a shitty job, just like taxidrivers, cleaners, etc. Would your dreamjob be a doorguard?
