I'm going to DYE my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My friend knows a friend who works at Schwarzkopf hair salon in Shanghai, and now they are searching for hair models, so I can dye my hair for free! Schwarzkopf sounds very professional and I would like to do a change with my hair. I have never dyed my hair before so it would be fun to do it once in my lifetime, right? I'm considering brown highlights. I'm supernervous, think I will do it today after work. Promise to post pics after haha :)
OK, tomorrow saturday I'm going to dye my hair at 4pm!!!!!!!! Last day with black hair, haha
Well, if it really looks bad I can just dye it back to black.

I say go for it. You only live once. There is a Schwarzkopf salon and training school across from my complex but I never see anyone there. I hope that's not the one your friend of a friend works for.

Yes, I'm sure that's the one. It's in the LaDoll/Gouji Lidu complex on Xinzha Lu between Shimen'er Lu and Taixing Lu (right next to MOB).

Don't do it. You will ruin your hair which currently is one of your best attributes. Why do Chinese people always want to look caucasian? Skin whitener, hair dye etc etc.....

Its a mistake, the result will never be as good as natural hair. I know 3 girls who have done this recently, they all look worse than before (though they did not realize until someone daring and sincere - thats me - told them the truth - some who doesnt need to lie and wussy his way into a girl's bed if you see what I mean - most people told them the usual yes its nice, you are so pretty etc). One of them already reverted to black but it took several months and a much shorter haircut...

Ooooh!!! Brown highlights!!! You're such a rebel. Almost every Chinese girl I know has had brown highlights at one time or another. It will look good, don't worry.
I think you will look lovely with highlights. Also it's true, if it turns out awful you can just dye it back to your original black hair.
Brown on Black makes your hair look sun bleached, sickly and old. Don't do it.
Dying hair makes it darker (i.e. brown to black), bleaching makes it lighter (i.e. black to brown). It appears from your description that you will be bleaching/lightening your hair.

hehe, yep, it was that one. the reason that there are not many people there is because it's not a hair salon, it's schwarzkopf school in there! :)
well you can't really see a major difference, but it kind of shows through reflection when i move my head, haha. If that explains it...
