One hour massage
Yesterday I went to Yongqi to do a one-hour-massage. It was soo funny, first the girl asked me where I was from, I said I'm from dongbei (northeast) and she asked what place, I said Dalian, she didn't believe me. Then later when she was massaging my left arm she said in a such a surprising way: Waaaah, you have so much meat (fat)!!Thanks... :'(
Later she asked me why I wore all black, and I told her because I wanted to look slimmer, she laughed and then she thought my leggings/tights were really funny and thought I was a gym instructor. She also kept saying I looked so young but still mature, haha. Now this is what makes my Shanghai trip fun and interesting :)

so ur trip is fun and interesting when ppl think your a liar cuz u tell them where your from and they doubt you? also, u like it when they say your fat? and obv. u like it when they say u look young!
My mandarin is very basic. I go to get massages to practice my mandarin. I find that I can get a language session while getting a message at the same time. Better than paying for a Mandarin tutor.

So, Shopgirl, do you really come from Dalian? What's all this Shanghai bit then? Why not Dalian Shopgirl?
Incidentally, those adverts in your photo I think include some extras.
dalian shop gurl doesnt sound as cool. and im the same way jason, i learned 90% of my putonghau during body and foot massages, happy ending ones i learn lil less=)

Dalian Shopgirl I think. Don't be ashamed of where you come from, be proud. Dalian is also a bustling commercial centre.
