Yes I will be able to go to China

You may have heard it's harder to get a Chinese visa during this summer til early fall because of the Olympics. Before I was only able to gain a 30 days visa, now I can have a 3 months visa :D with double entry, hello Hongkong AND Mainland China. I'm getting happy again, before this was a huge issue making me depressed so I have been relying on chocolate and icecream, but now I fell that I'm back on track! Today I went to step class, power yoga class (which I fell asleep at the end, haha, my friend had to wake me up), aerobics and last funk class. So from 3 pm til 7pm I was at the gym draining in sweat!!! Please beat that!
I also went to the police station today to get a new passport, my old one is really broke. Anyhow the photo of me in my new passport is AWFUL, I am indeed a fat face. The weird thing is that when my macbook takes pictures of me, my face doesn't look very fat (see this pic posted), but the passport photo of me is really bad, I look like 20 pounds heavier than this photo of me I took from my macbook. Who should I trust?

passport photos you have to face the camera straight. so theres no hiding any fat.

on all your photos you tend to angle your face at a more flattering angle.

i hate photos where im face on. my nose looks wide and my face rounder. when i slightly angle to the side... my nose looks higher and narrower and my face is much slimmer.

its a common trick ppl use when having their photos taken whether it be conscious or subconscious.

its also a good trick to make you look slimmer in photos which you seem to have naturally adopted.

Hur fick du tremånadersvisum? Något speciellt man måste göra för att få det?

Tack!

nej, gå in på www.chinaembassy.se

What visa class are you traveling on? Multiple entry visas for L and F don't existing any more. Are you on some special family visitor's visa?

If you got one of those I'd be interested to hear how.

hey, China changed the rules now, so don't worry!
I'm on a L visa with double entries that is valid for over 80 days at least

Wow! Well all I can say is you got lucky. I've been following the visa situation for my job and these visa rules are permanent. Most people are able to get an L visa for more than 60 days (which can be extended in China). If you stay in China for longer than 90 days at one time you are considered a resident and are required to be on a residence permit.

Enjoy your trip here.

hmm, ... all the years before I got a 60 or 90 multi entry visa. this year when I start my language course and planed to stay 6 month, I only got a 30 L visa single entry.
could you pls post some tricks, how to extend that L visa. is it about money and guanxi?

shopgirl: have a run, longer then 20 min per day and eat the half as usual for 4 weeks and you can eat chocolate and icecream without doubt in Shanghai. It really works, I do this always before holiday ;)
