Chinese wedding

Oh my gooooooood. I can't believe my cousin is getting married!!! It still feels like yesterday my grandmother forced me to let her put some weird gel in my arse so I could be able to poo while my cousin stood by the door and laughed. Old times, good times.

Me and my cousin were really close when I was 10 and he was 19 years old. We would fight and pick on eachother ALL the time, we would go to the grocery shops to buy food for our grandparent, sit together and watch Sailor moon, etc. His mum was like a mum to me when I was studying in Shanghai, because my mum left me in China alone with my relatives. My cousin Cheng was like a big brother to me that I never had (I'm an only child).

But as years went by we never got as close as before since he found a girlfriend. I think the girlfriend was a bit jealous because of our close relationship, but come on. We are brothers/sisters, nothing else. I stayed in his apartment this summer when I was in SH, but I seldom saw him and if I did, he wouldn't even start a conversation with me. I'm really sad about that, he is like my only brother and I love him so much, but he would just ignore me.

ANYHOW, I'm happy that he is a husband now. He would be a good father as well although he is a bit immature. They will live happily ever after, both have awesome jobs and earn lots of money, even more than professional expats.
Gong xi gong xi.

PS. His suit is so unstylish with the dots!!!!!! Being honest, her dress is tacky. If I was in SH now their wedding photo would have been much better.

This is why I love you Siyan; and what keeps me coming back. Just when I think you have no place to go but up, you somehow manage to look deep inside yourself and plunge to depths that I previously thought were impossible.

Sincerely, A dedicated fan

He probably has a similar comment to make about your dress sense and fashion choices :-p

But he'll be so happy to learn your prediction that he'll get a great job and soon be earning more than expatriates!

Naah, not sure if he is reading my blog, but he is used to me picking on him. The fiancee might not be as happy.....but I love both of them. I'm just being chinesey honest.

woaizhongguo, cant you read? they already have great jobs, my cousin earns a shitload of money but he works CONSTANTLY, so not sure if it's worth it.

Well the way you wrote it was "they will ..... both have awesome jobs" which can be interpreted as the future tense. It's a bit like saying "they will eat, drink and be merry" - you don't need to say "they will eat, they will drink, they will be merry".

I do understand English isn't your first language and it's certainly much better than any of my second languages, but there's nothing wrong with my reading comprehension.

You have no sense of decorum or decency. I thought this might be the first entry that was nice with no over the top arrogance and big headedness that you normally show, thinking that your shallowness is to be praised. But I was wrong, you just continue to prove that you must be the most pathetic, shallow, heartless botch in the world today. Sad. :-(

Hey ignore the hater above.

Anyway, congrats to your cousin. Although he just locked himself up and thrown the keys... haha. Different strokes for different folks.

What does your cousin do? What industry does he work in if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks.
