Taking Art pictures

Before and After pictures......

All Chinese girls do that at least once in their life, I decided to do that as well. I wanted to take those old traditional art photos of me in Qing and Tang dystany clothes.

Well, the service was CRAP!! They put a really awful makeup on me, and literally told me I was really ugly. (You eyes are so small, if you don't buy our eyelashes your eyes will look even more ugly)(Your lips are too big and fat, I will paint them smaller)(Your eyebrows totally destroy your face)(Your face is too long)(It's hard to make you pretty) etc, etc.

Usually I am secure enough to handle this, but when she didn't even let me put on my own eyeliner (We know how to put make up, you don't) or forced me to wear fake eyelashes I got so mad. I was boiling inside, if I hadn't already paid I'd slap her and walk out from the place.

Well, the photos turned out really bad because my makeup look like shit, I look like a ghost. EW.

Shopgirl,

Ignore those fools picking on your appearance. You know you are an intelligent, and beautiful young lady -- note the order of the compliments. Someday your beauty will fade, but you will still be smart.

Maybe the traditional art shots didn't turn out like you had hoped, and it may have been more trouble than it was worth, but use it as a learning experience. Think of it as a window into the state of the average young Chinese girl's psyche. If most girls getting those photos let the makeup staff abuse them like that, then they have self-esteem issues.

By your background, you aren't the typical young Chinese female. You are different. You don't need their compliments nor do you need their stamp of approval. You won't end up being a makeup girl at a glamour shots studio. Live your life your way and let your success be your revenge.

Well, I personally think you're incredibly beautiful, but I'm not Chinese.

Greets from Scandinavia!
