What you should BUY in Shanghai
If you don't live there and want to live as good as possible overseas....- Sweet Potatoes Chips
- Lots of CDs and DVDs (Who doesn't want to have a nice DVD or CD collection at home)
- Underwear (I swear to god, those Calvin Klein underwear you get on the street is much better than ANY 50 dollars Hankypankys)
- Mixed Congee (Ba Bao Zhou, the best soup EVER made for mankind, too bad it's heavy)
- Lots of different kind of spices, such as yuxiangrousi spices
- Gifts (Who wouldn't like a green box from Tiffany's whether it's fake or not?)
- Stationery (It's sooooooo cheap in China!!!)
- Home Deco stuff (Soooooooo cheap in China!!!)
- Garments, wheither for clothing or decoration (It's good to have in stock at home, and it's soooo cheap in China compared to overseas)
- SHOES (if you're a girl)
My Last Tip: While you're in Shanghai, go to Dragonfly and have a massage, their interior is AWESOME, and it's a fraction of the price compared to overseas, so why not soak in luxury once or twice a month?

I would say to check those markets in Shanghai, they have pillow cases, cute stuff for kitchen, cute stationery, lots of home decor stuff, etc.
One good market is outside Yuyuan Garden
