It's plain stupid. I sent all my visa application, passport, etc to the China Embassy in Stockholm and then they call me and say I have to go to the Embassy if I live in Stockholm. So now I have to wake up at 7am just to get to the embassy and stand in line for probably 2 hours to just get a L visa, I would totally understand if I would have to go to the embassy if it was for a one year visa, but this is a TOURIST visa!!! I'm soo mad, and lazy.Kylie Minogue's H&M collection is out now in stores, I love the dress/tunic and sunglasses from there. Will get it on friday. BIG SHOPPING DAY ON FRIDAY. The collection is probably out in Shanghai as well by now.
Does someone know any banks in Shanghai that can speak English, because they never understand me when I try to talk to them, and it's getting frustrating. I do speak fluent Chinese but still sometimes I just don't know some certain special terms/vocabulary.
Also, I'm going to be writing a column about China lifestyle in a glossy Russian magazine, that will be interesting, help me brainstorming on what to write about.

1. Visa
The process you described is extremely simple, fast and smooth compared to what Chinese nationals have to endured to get visas to most destinations. The rule in consular matter is reciprocity - you should feel very lucky that the benevolent Chinese administration doesnt apply this rule.
2. H&M and the Australian idiot
Is it just me or H&M is just another overhyped brand of cheap-looking clothes? How many days can you wear H&M gears before they fall apart? I havent been there, thats what well-informed people "from the industry" tell me.
3. Banks that speak English
More and more do. But the question here is: aren't you supposed to be a fluent Mandarin speaker?
