Is China racist?
The other day I was browsing through a Shanghai public forum and the topic came to what people in this city thought of all laowais coming to Shanghai. I read some really offending answers such as they are disgusting, making China dirty, etc. I find it really sad that they can express such judgement in public.
I also remember I had a conversation with some Chinese girls and they told me never to hang out with French people. As some of my friends in Shanghai are French people I felt offended, I wanted to defend my French friends but couldn't as I knew then the argument would never end if it got started.
Also, I read on a blog about a relationship between a Chinese girl and a black guy, about the glares they received on the street, and people commenting on them.
Why can't some Chinese people's minds develop as fast as its economy?
But then again, in the US, my neighbours thought it was a scandal that my friend was having a black boyfriend, but at the same time they had very close friends who were black.

like wtf, do you like all white people (in SH)? if you do, you should go to Windows in jing an...you'd love it there...
Of course Chinese are extremely racist people, in spite of half a century of communist education. Particularly iditic reply from ":)" who seem to have a problem with logical thinking. When Siyan finally decides to invite me as a guest star blogger, I will elaborate on this subject.
Unfortunately I have been to Windows in JingAn 2 times, Windows Scoreboard once. Definitely not the best place in Shanghai.
That's xenophobia. Racism is really about skin color.

You know what, you should start your own blog, I think it would be pretty interesting (not being sarcastic) I'd read it.
in windows are all them trailortrash crackersass white blabla...i want to hit em all...cuz they are white and acting retared...
o btw better dont hang around with french ppl..they are cheap..
when i was in SH i really dont wanna hang around white ppl TOO much..if i want to see white ppl i can stay here. rather other hua qiao.. :)
