BYEBYE FASHIONBLOG

hey guys,

I kind of decided to stop doing this fashion-blog, because in honesty, I think it sucks -- BIG TIME. Im a shitty writer with no higher education in writing, and me myself think this blog is fucking useless.

Instead, I'm going to make a blog about shanghai, put up pictures from my trip and stuff like that.

I think I might keep this website though, so it will still have the same address, Im juat changing concept.

Today's outfit

Didn't wear anything special at all. Was visiting my mum's friend's new baby, sooo cute!! I also had REAL Chinese food, was amazing. I'm so mad at my mommy who can't cook any good Chinese food.

My goal is to loose some weight before I go to China, but that will probably be impossible. But then again, in China it should be easy to loose weight considering that they eat lots of veggies and I will be walking on the streets checking out the department stores. Will report later if I reached my weight goal, lol.

Jealousy

Paris sings about her former best friend Nicole Richie in her song - Jealousy. But in fact, I am more jealous of Nicole than I am jealous for Paris. I would die for Nicole's wardrobe.
I bet that the top comes from Vanessa Bruno. That is one of Nicole's favourite brands. Of course she still uses the Balenciaga bag.

Blink of an eye

I am finished with reading Blink by Malcolm Gladwell, a wonderful book. It really makes people have a second thought about different situations. The book gave me a link where people can go and be a part of a research study. It's very interesting. How prejudiced are you really?

"Here you will have the opportunity to assess your conscious and unconscious preferences for over 90 different topics ranging from pets to political issues, ethnic groups to sports teams, and entertainers to styles of music. At the same time, you will be assisting in a large-scale study of preferences."

After reading this book I might know if the Louis Vuitton bag I see on the street is fake or not, in a blink of an eye ;)

More and more readers

I know now that I have more and more readers for each day! I am really happy for that, but I also understand that with more readers, the more comments I will receive.

I have already received some comments that are very inappropriate for this blog, such as personal attacks on me. I hope that you can respect what I write and what pictures I put up. My goal is to make this blog where discussions can be made, where people can exchange ideas, where people are enjoying the environment (even though it's virtual).

Thank you for reading this!

PS. Rumors say that Sean Combs aka P. Diddy is having another baby!!!

Shop for a good purpose

Shopping is a wonderful activity, but don't you guys ever feel guilt? We are today, spending more and more money on luxury goods. Only Sweden's GNP did arose to 5 %, the highest for a decade!!

While we are enjoying to have big shopping bags in our hands, there are millions of millions people out there suffering; they are hungry, they are sick, they are living in terrible conditions.

Now we can finally do something! Buy things that goes to charity. For an example, Kate Moss just did a campaign for Burberry's pink trenchcoat, some of their profit goes directly to The Breast Cancer organization. Clarins also have a limited edition perfume series where the profit goes for some kind of charity. Now you can finally both shop and feel no guilt!

Good picture programme

A good programme for editing your photos is essential for someone who has a blog where they put pictures on. I'm not going to lie and say that all those pictures are natural, NO WAY. Photoshop is my best friend in this matter.

But then, Photoshop is very expensive. I found another programme, called Picasa. It's amazing, you can create your own collages, edit your photos, make it lighter or darker, and some other features. The best thing is that it's FREE! Just search on google and you will find it, so you can install it for free. It's definitely worth it!

What to wear?

Usually I don't have these kind of problems! I became 18 in the US, and as you all know, you can't go to clubs in the States unless you are 21 or if you're a superstar. When I came back to Sweden this June I've only been to one nightclub!! It's very sad. My friends are 20 so they go to clubs where the age limit is 20, and that fuckin' sucks. But tomorrow is an exception, so I am going to the bigger city Örebro and party it all up and I realy look forward to it.
Maybe I wear this outfit? I don's know...

(Red velourdress from Juicy Couture)

Shanghai for a longer time

I kind of gave up my idea to study in Handelshögskolan i Stockholm. If I would go there to study I would have to get an A in Math D which is an almost impossible challenge for me, (I had a hard time to get an A in Math C, Math D is MUCH harder than Math C). So I might attend the business school in Gothenburg instead, it's Sweden's second best business school, after the one in Stockholm. I think I'm going to choose the German economy programme. Then I will be able to speak four languages, wonderful!

Since I already have pretty good grades, I think I am going to Shanghai to study Chinese! I really need to work on my Chinese vocabulary. I might stay there from mid-September until December! I really hope so!!
Shanghai, as you all know is my favourite city!

The Plastics

I read somewhere that a mother in Shanghai, China forced her daughter to do a eye-surgery, in order to make her eyes bigger. Isn't that insane!? I thought that it was always the youngster who tried to convince their mother to let them do plastic surgery, not the other way around!! Me, myself thinks that is absolutely INSANE!!! What do you think?

btw, I just heard that my former classmate now works in Ibiza as a stripper, and yes, she did some plastic surgeries which wasn't very successful according to me and my friends. Pretty sad, huh?

Seems that plastic surgeries in China is a very common thing to do, I see those clinics everywhere in Shanghai, and I have met people who literally are telling me to do something with my eyes...

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, look at Ashlee Simpson, she is so pretty in her new nose :)

My favourite line

“I like my money right where I can see it... hanging in my closet.”

The Birthday Party

Partying with German old men (65+) isn’t such a bad thing after all. Especially not if one of them is a multimillionaire who has offered me a job at their office in Dortmund for a month, perfect for me who wants to learn Deutsch sprechen!
I should also add that Germans CAN drink…they were opening bottles of bottles of red wine the whole time and forcing me to drink some glasses. After that, they decided to open a HUGE gin bottle, so I had some of it tonight as well. Schweppers Lemon with gin is really good! This is also the first time I’m drinking with my parents at the same place. They weren’t so happy when I said yes to another gin and tonic….

Birthday party

I am going to attend my parents' friend's birthday party. He is the boss of the superbig company Bahco (they make tools). I was thinking of wearing this outfit. What do you think?

The party starts at 2 pm which probably means that it's not a very elegant party.

The top comes from Vero Moda, the pants are called gauchos, I bought them in the US, I think at Charlotte Russe to be more specific. The shoes comes from New Look, a chain from U.K.

This Rolling Stones T-shirt I bought at their concert that I attended in Detroit. Their "Big Bang" tour. It was amazing, to see Mick Jagger live was AMAZING, he is a true entertainer!

The belt I'm wearing I found in my mum's closet, and the leggings are from Forever 21. Posted by Picasa

What do you think of this outfit? Be honest, I am definitely not one of those girls who can't take critics!

I wear this outfit very often! The shorts and top come from Forever21, my favourite American store!
